Privacy notice

How we handle information from website visitors, prospective customers and business contacts.

Updated 19 September 2026

Who we are

Battlehill Projects Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in Scotland, company number SC731927, at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. Contact enquiry@battlehillprojects.com with any question about your information.

Information we use

When you contact us, we use the information you choose to provide, such as your name, business email address, organisation, role and enquiry. A discussion about consultancy or specialist support may also include project requirements, professional experience, availability and commercial correspondence. Our hosting provider may record technical information, such as IP address, browser details and request logs, to operate and protect the website.

Why we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, understand requirements, arrange discussions, prepare proposals and manage business relationships. We also use relevant records to administer engagements, meet legal obligations and protect the business. Business enquiries and relationship management are normally handled on the basis of our legitimate interests; contractual steps and legal obligations apply where relevant. Marketing that requires consent is handled separately.

Who may receive information

Information may be handled by service providers supporting our hosting, email, document storage and professional administration. Relevant information may be shared with delivery partners or specialists where needed to discuss an opportunity or deliver an agreed engagement. We do not sell personal information. Contact us if you need information about the providers or international processing arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

We retain information for as long as it is needed for the enquiry, an ongoing business relationship or an agreed engagement, and for relevant legal, accounting or dispute-handling requirements. The type of record, the purpose of the processing and any applicable obligation determine the retention period.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing or ask for a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. Email enquiry@battlehillprojects.com with your request. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO complaints service.

Sending an enquiry

When you select Send enquiry, your name, email address, selected support area and message are submitted securely to our website and passed to our email service for delivery to enquiry@battlehillprojects.com. We do not store the enquiry in a website database. Our email providers process the message to deliver and retain our correspondence. The form uses an essential session cookie, temporary security tokens and a keyed hash of your IP address with request times to prevent forged and excessive submissions. The rate limit uses only the previous hour of activity; older entries are removed when a subsequent submission is checked. Server session cleanup is managed by the hosting provider. Neither security record contains your enquiry text. Copy enquiry text places the prepared message on your device clipboard only when you select it. Please use an agreed secure channel for confidential programme documents or sensitive personal information.

Links and automated decisions

Following a link to another website is subject to that organisation’s privacy information. We do not use the enquiry form to make automated decisions about you or to create a marketing profile. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing communications.
