Project & programme recovery

When deadlines keep moving and confidence is falling, you need more than another status report. We establish what is happening, help you make the difficult choices and lead the work needed to get delivery moving again.

Colleagues work through a customer journey map with printed plans and sticky notes.

When to bring us in

Milestones keep moving, suppliers describe different critical paths or confidence in the plan has fallen. We establish the facts, agree a realistic recovery position and lead the actions and decisions needed to restore control.

How we help

  • Establish the actual position and immediate exposures
  • Agree recovery priorities and necessary scope or sequencing decisions
  • Reset the integrated baseline and supplier commitments
  • Lead recovery actions through to readiness and acceptance

What you can expect

The recovery baseline shows the critical path, accountable owners, unresolved assumptions, supplier commitments and conditions that must hold for each milestone.

Decisions we help you make

  • Which commitments must be protected, and which scope or dates can change?
  • What can the available people and suppliers realistically deliver?
  • What evidence will show that the programme has stabilised and recovery can close?

How we work with your team

Stabilise the immediate position

We identify the commitments most at risk, the decisions holding work up and the consequences for customers or operations. Conflicting plans are reconciled so everyone starts from the same facts.

Agree a plan people can deliver

We work through the choices on scope, sequencing, capacity, cost and dates with your team and suppliers. The recovery plan makes commitments explicit and shows what must be resolved for each milestone to hold.

Lead the recovery through

We coordinate the agreed actions, resolve cross-team blockers and bring timely decisions to sponsors. Testing, business readiness and handover remain part of the plan, so progress is measured against a working result.

Getting started

We begin with the next commitments most at risk, the effect of further delay and the concerns of sponsors, delivery teams and suppliers. Existing plans, forecasts and commercial commitments are reconciled before a new promise is made.

Recovery options make the trade-offs explicit: reduce or phase scope, change sequencing, address capacity, resolve supplier dependencies or revise the date. Your sponsor chooses the business trade-off; we lead the agreed delivery response.

How we assess progress

We agree the measures at the start of the engagement and review them with the responsible business and delivery owners.

  • Critical dependencies resolved against the recovery plan.
  • Supplier and internal commitments supported by the same baseline.
  • Forecast changes explained with their effect on scope, cost and readiness.
  • Testing, adoption and service preparation progressing alongside the technical work.

Handover and ongoing ownership

The receiving delivery lead takes ownership of the agreed baseline, controls and residual risks. Recovery closes when the agreed stabilisation and transition conditions are met.

The expertise behind the work

Recovery leads, programme managers, project managers and PMO specialists. We match the experience and responsibilities to your assignment and confirm availability before you commit.

Choose the support you need

Start with an assessment of the delivery position or appoint a recovery lead to coordinate the intervention, depending on the urgency and evidence already available.
